Students will be able to draw atoms covalently bonded using Lewis Structures with single bonds
Today we step a little further into covalent bonding. The traditional method to visualize covalent bonds is a type of drawing called Lewis Structures. Through the following video, podcast, and slideshow you will learn how do draw simple Lewis Structures. After learning how to draw these diagrams practice them on the homework attached and e-mail your answers to me.
Tasks:
Watch the following video:

This video does introduce you into double and triple bonding. Your homework does not include multiple bonding today but tomorrow's will.
Read through the following slideshow.
You only need to go through slides 1 to 14, the rest will be read on day 3.
download the following document. Draw each Lewis Structure. Scan it and send it back to me via e-mail at mjacobs@calvinchr.org. I will correct it and send it back to you. As always feel free to e-mail me with questions.
